This knife was designed within the design style of Ikea.

We aimed to create a safer and more elegant solution to the utility knifes used by the staff right now. Some of the issues they were running into was the knife getting jammed with glue or the employees rigging the knifes to no longer close and getting into accidents because of this. 

my solution to the problem was to create a spring loaded design to pull the knife back into the casing as soon as the user let go of the tool.

In designing this we paid extra close attention to the ergonomics s it would be easy and comfortable to use over a longer period.
